ROTER BARON
design worked on DMD Vintage
Brushed steel, riveted sheets and oxidized irons crowned by a sequence of crosses.
The latter is the unmistakable symbol of the Luftstreitkräfte: the famous German Empire's Air Troops engaged in the skies battles during the first great world war.
It was May 2, 1918.
Manfred Albrecht von Richthofen is shot down with his red airplane.
A timeless legend with a mythological aura was born ... the Red Baron.
The helmet shell is entirely laminated in brushed silver leaf.
Pictorial interventions and airbrushed details create suggestive interpretations of the metal sheet in which its history is imprinted.
The small Svarowski studs enrich the elegant but aggressive design adding realism and three-dimensionality to the metallic textures.
